The company's leading financial services brands include American Banker, The Bond Buyer, Financial Planning, Accounting Today and National Mortgage News, as well as professional services brands, like Accounting Today, Employee Benefit News and Digital Insurance.

I have successfully marketed conferences with 1000+ attendees, generating approximately $9 million in annual revenue. These events met and exceeded revenue targets, showcasing my ability to drive profitable campaigns.

  • Implement comprehensive marketing plans to effectively promote industry events across several Arizent brands including American Banker and Employee Benefit News, producing over $9 million annually.

  • Develop full-funnel marketing strategies for campaigns utilizing email, SEO/SEM, paid media, organic social media and video marketing.

As Marketing Director, I was in charge of the content marketing strategy for the personal injury law firm. I controlled the annual marketing budget of 1.7 million and worked closely with the teams at iHeart Media and WQHT-FM Hot 97 to create compelling 60-second radio commercials. I also managed our organic and paid social media, sent monthly email campaigns, managed partner relationships which included contract negotiations, and owned the lead management process.

Marketing Director/ Queen City Coffee Roasters

October 2021 – April 2022

As Marketing Director at a small coffee company, I led the development, management, and execution of QCCR’s overall marketing strategy. This included managing social media, email marketing, in-person events, web content, and print collateral. I also oversaw the lead generation program and worked closely with Sales to build new wholesale partnerships. In addition, I collaborated with local influencers and videographers to create compelling video content.

Special Accomplishments:

  • Improved average social engagement rate by 24% by interacting with followers and responding to user-generated content.

  • Managed the social media calendar and grew Instagram reach from 700 to 3,200 by regularly publishing educational/entertaining posts, videos and REELS.

This is the part of my journey where I ventured into working for myself. I moved to California to write a non-fiction book and sustained myself by freelancing. During this time, I provided marketing consulting services to clients in the apparel, tattoo, and real estate industries. I created and implemented detailed custom marketing plans for clients and crafted engaging copy for their websites and social channels.

As Marketing Manager at a nonprofit organization that serves the legal community with live and on-demand continuing legal education, my core responsibility was to manage the full campaign process from start to finish for PLI programs, publications, and online research database. There, I learned the importance of building strong relationships with cross-functional teams to develop approaches that met company business goals.
